Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. She is best known for portraying the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian who was of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and participates in Passover meal times.
